Purchasing a Home

Purchasing a home whether you are a first time homebuyer or you are purchasing a second vacation home can seem overwhelming.  Solidarity Mortgage prides itself on making sure our members feel at ease during the entire purchase process.

Before you begin to shop for your new homes, find out how much home you can afford. Contact a Solidarity Mortgage professional for a free pre-qualification or use our online mortgage calculator to determine your buying power.  Solidarity Mortgage will start your application process and issue a pre-approval letter that will help realtors and sellers know you are serious.  When you are ready, we have three convenient ways to apply:  in person, over the telephone or online.  You choose which application method suits your needs.

If you need assistance in finding your dream home, check out our Preferred Realtor List.  A Realtor will help negotiate the sales price and other important terms of the offer.

Solidarity Mortgage will order an appraisal from a licensed appraiser who is familiar with home values in your area.  A title commitment is ordered to confirm the legal status of your property and to prepare the closing documents.  A flood certificate is ordered to determine whether or not your property is located in a flood hazard area.

Once everything has been verified, we review and underwrite the loan and then prepare the documents that you need to sign.

A Solidarity Mortgage Professional will call you to schedule an appointment to sign your closing documents, and let you know the dollar amount along with any additional documentation you will need to finalize your transaction.  Closings take place right here in our office at no additional costs to you.

Once the closing is completed Solidarity Mortgage will send your Deed and Mortgage to the County Recorder’s office for recording.

Congratulations, you are a homeowner!
