Overdraft Protection
With Solidarity, overdraft protection is available on business checking accounts. Your options are the following:
- Use a Solidarity business credit card and funds will be automatically transferred in $100 increments to cover checks. Fees apply, please see the Fee Schedule.
- Maintain balances in your saving account and funds will be transferred to cover checks. Fees apply, please see the Fee Schedule.
Overdraft protection eliminates check overdrafts and NSF fees, protects your credit and provides emergency credit for immediate funds.
Overdraft Privilege
With Solidarity Overdraft Privilege, we will honor a check or item being presented on your business checking account with insufficient funds to cover the item up to the amount designated for your checking account type. Thus, you will avoid NSF charges from the payee of your check or item. In addition, you can avoid the embarrassment of checks being returned. There are no applications, no credit checks and no added worries on your part.
All you need is an eligible business checking account. No other action is required on your part. You don’t have to sign up for anything. If you qualify, your Overdraft Privilege amount will be automatically assigned to your business checking account and you’ll receive a letter from us. You also may contact us if you are unsure of your coverage or you don’t want to accept the Overdraft Privilege.
As long as your account is in good standing, Solidarity Community will honor overdrafts up to the Overdraft Privilege limit on your business checking account. If your account has insufficient funds to cover checks or items presented for payment and you’re eligible for Overdraft Privilege, the checks will not be returned. They will be paid and processed and your account balance will reflect a negative balance with the ODP fees deducted also. You will be notified by mail of the transaction that caused your Overdraft Privilege to be assessed and of the fees. You have a maximum of 30 business days to make a deposit to bring the account back into the positive.
